Entries sought for annual Festival of the Mountain Masters photo contest

The annual Festival of the Mountain Masters Photography Contest and Show will be held Nov. 24 and 25 at the Village Center Mall.
Entries will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. Judging will take place on Saturday morning. This year there are three divisions: Amateur, accomplished and children’s.
The categories for amateur and accomplished include:
• Black & White
• People
• Animals
• Flowers
• Children
• Harlan County
• Scenery
• Mountain Scenery
• Nature •
Computer Enhanced
• Coal Mining
• Open.
The Open category is to accommodate photos that do not fit into any other category such as photos of trains, cars and such.
The children’s division will be for 12 years of age and under. The categories for the children’s division are:
• People
• Flowers
• Animals
• Scenery
There will be a first, second and third place ribbon for each category and a Best of Show plaque for each division.
You may submit up to five photos for each category. For accomplished and amateur, a total of 50 photos per person; and for children, a total of 20 photos per person.
Photos should be no smaller than 5×7 and no larger than 16×20 with matting. There is no entry fee. The show will be closed to the public during judging.
