The 2017 Harlan County Christmas Parade will be held Dec. 2 in downtown Harlan, sponsored by the Harlan County Chamber of Commerce, Harlan Daily Enterprise and Harlan Tourism Commission in cooperation with the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Harlan.

Lineup begins at 2 p.m. at Harlan Baptist Church, parade begins at 3:30 p.m.

The theme is “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

Applications are available at the Enterprise office and the Harlan Center, or can be found on the Chamber of Commerce Facebook page or website. You may also mail them to the Chamber, P.O. Box 268, Harlan KY 40831. Applications will not be taken over the phone.

Application deadline is 4 p.m. on Nov. 30.

All floats will be stopping momentarily at the Harlan Center before the judges table. Prizes will be given in the following categories: Best Children’s Float, Best Religious Float, Best Theme, Chamber of Commerce Award, Best Scouting Group and Grand Prize Winner.
