With Halloween on the way, kids in Harlan County are looking for things to do which will put them in the spooky spirit of the holiday. Hilltop Ministries is throwing a party to help accomplish just that.

The Hallelujah Bash is set to commence just a few days before Halloween on Oct. 27. The festivities will take place between noon and 3 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot.

Glen Marlowe, director of Hilltop Ministries, explained the event will include several different activities related to the Halloween holiday and the autumn season.

“There will be games, hay rides and more,” Marlowe said.

For those in need of a little refreshment during the event, hot dogs, chips and Coca Cola will be supplied free of charge.

Marlowe says children can utilize the event as a test run for their Halloween costume choices.

“If the kids want to, they can dress up in their Halloween costumes and bring their trick or treat bags,” Marlowe said. “Come and join the fun!”
