Melony Denham, regional coordinator for America’s Entrepreneurial Schools, and Sherri Clark, representing Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, presented Evarts Elementary School the America’s Entrepreneurial School banner. Evarts Elementary is the first school Harlan County to receive the AES designation. The banner presented is to recognize the Evarts Elementary as one of the schools in America delivering entrepreneurship education to students across all grade levels. It can be presented to any school in America which implements a planned sequence of activities and lessons over the school year that results in entrepreneurship education for every student.
