The Harlan Elementary School third Grade general intellect photography class taught by Barbra Ledford recently competed in the 34th annual Festival of the Mountain Masters Photography Contest in the children’s division.

The students learned basic photography skills and practiced taking photos around the city of Harlan. After analyzing their photos, the students made selections to enter into each category.

Award winners by category include: Animals — first place, Halle Cox, third place, Carson Osborne; People — first place, Juliana Damaa, second place, Halle Cox, and third place, Carson Osborne; Scenery — third place, Michael Lindsey; Open — second place, Juliana Damaa, third place, Halle Cox; Flowers — first place, Halle Cox; third place, Michael Lindsey; and Best of Show Children’s Division, Halle Cox.
