Learn and let go

Holding onto past heartaches does not serve us in any way. All it does is steal our peace of today. We can’t go back and change one thing from the past. Trying to relive a previous moment only steals the enjoyment of this moment. Therefore, we just need to learn from our previous errors and heartaches, and then move forward. When we have learned from our past, then it can make our present moment better, as well as our future. That is what we need to focus on.
We all have things from our past that we would like to change. Reliving those moments over and over only keeps us stuck in a cycle of pain. Trying to change something that happened yesterday only makes us waste the precious moments of today. When we notice ourselves living in the past and revisiting old hurts, then we need to ask God to forgive us. He can forgive our sins. Then, we need to forgive ourselves. Once we do that then we can move forward.
God can help us to turn our old heartaches into blessings. We can do this by obtaining wisdom from them. Life experiences are great teachers if we choose to learn from them. Especially when we ask God to help us to learn from them. God knows how to help us to overcome our current struggle. In order to move forward, we have to be willing to lay it all aside. Bury the heartache and then pick up our cross and follow after Jesus.
When we give our lives to God, then He will help us to live peacefully, love deeply, and be joyful. We can find the answer to every problem in Him. Regardless of what we have done or failed to do, God still loves us. We are His precious children and He delights in helping us. He wants us to desire Him in the deep places of our soul. When we desire Him and our relationship with Him more than anything else, then He will help us with our every need.
