Harlan County knocked off defending 14th Region champ Knott Central 51-47 in overtime on Thursday at Knott Central.

Senior guard Morgan Blakley led the Lady Bears with 23 points. Senior guard Hannah Wood added 11, with three 30pointers. Kassy Owens and Jaylin Smith scored four each. Jaylin Preston added two.

The game was tied at 26 at halftime and 44 at the end of regulation.

The Lady Bears won in junior varsity action and the middle school AAU team lost to the Knott Central junior varsity squad.

Harlan County (9-4) will return to action next week in the Campbellsville Team Camp.

The Lady Bears defeated Anderson County, Tenn., 43-35 and lost to Catholic Central, Tenn., 37-30 in action from the Lincoln Memorial University Team Camp on Wednesday.

Blakley led HCHS with 19 points against Anderson. Kassy Owens tossed in seven. Jacey Lewis scored six. Wood scored five. Smith added four. Kelly Beth Hoskins contributed two.

Blakley poured in 21 against Catholic Central. Owens scored three. Smith, Wood and Lewis added two each.
