Lady Dragons split two scrimmages at Berea camp

Harlan eighth-grade guard Ella Karst raced down the court during scrimmage action against Barbourville. The Lady Dragons split two scrimmages Thursday in Berea and will conclude summer play on Friday.
Harlan split a pair of scrimmages Thursday at the Berea Summer Shootout, defeating North Bullitt 36-24 and falling to Garrard County 58-41.
Senior forward Natalee King poured in 21 points in the win. Ella Karst and Alli Thompson added four points each. Angel Wynn scored three. Kaylee Leslie and Peighton Jones added two each.
King scored 22 in the loss to Garrard County. Wynn added 11. Leslie scored four. Karst and Aymanni Wynn added two each.
The Lady Dragons defeated Model 33-27 on Friday. King scored nine points and Angel Wynn added eight for the Lady Dragons. Karst and Leslie scored six each. Thompson added four.
Harlan suffered two losses in scrimmages Tuesday at Bell County, falling 47-26 to McCreary Central and 28-21 to Clay County.
Wynn led the Lady Dragons against McCreary with 10 points. King scored eight. Leslie added six. Karst chipped in with two.
Wynn scored 10 against Clay County. Emma Owens scored four. Leslie added three. King and Peighton Jones scored two each.
Harlan (5-6) concludes summer play on Friday at Berea.
