Dairy Hut team wins Black Bears Golf Scramble

The Dairy Hut team of (from left) Randy Brackett, Gary Grant, Tommy Polson and George Hall won the Black Bear Golf Scramble last week at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Club.
Shooting a 19-under score of 51, the Dairy Hut team of Randy Brackett, Gary Grant, Tommy Polson and George Hall placed first Saturday in the 2019 Tee It Up with the Black Bears Scramble at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Club.
The New Beginning Community Church team of Greg Lewis, Matt Lewis, Jeff North and Sammy Moore placed second with a 17-under 53.
The Cox Law Office team of Ronnie Cox, Jay Dunaway, Jody Gilliam and Marcus Johnson finished third with a 16-under 54.
“I would like to thank all the teams participating in the Black Bears Golf Scramble today at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club. We were able to raise some money for the golf team, catch up with some good friends and see some outstanding golf,” said HCHS golf coach Greg Lewis.
Specialty hole prizes included long drive on No. 5 won by Lewis, closest to the Pin on No. 3 won by Charles Huff, and the longest putt made on No. 9 won by Cox.
“Thanks to the Sleepy Hollow golf club staff. The course was perfect today,” Lewis said. “Also, thanks to all of our sponsors. The money raised today will help fund our 2019 golf season.”
