A Cawood woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly stole a school bus.

Teresa Wells, 35, was arrested by Kentucky State Police trooper Andy Soltess on Sept. 8.

Wells was charged with theft by unlawful taking ($10,000 or more; auto), speeding (20 mph over limit), failure to produce insurance card, failure to wear seat belts, no operator’s license, license to be in possession and operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol.

Wells was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center on a $2,500 full-cash bond.
