Caldwell leads Wallins past Lady Skins

Faith Caldwell scored 13 points and Rylie Maggard added 10 as Wallins defeated Cumberland 36-17 in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Thursday.

Raleigh led the Lady Skins with 13 points.

Whitney Noe scored 11 as Wallins won 30-6 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Caldwell scored eight as Wallins edged Cawood 20-19 in previously unreported action from earlier in the week.

Cawood hangs on for win over Red Bird

Two days after suffering a one-point loss to Wallins, Cawood bounced back Thursday with a 30-29 win Thursday over Red Bird in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Taylor Clem led the Lady Comets with 17 points.

Emily Roark scored 17 for Red Bird.

Cheyanne Rhymer scored 19 and Maddi Middleton added 10 as Cawood coasted to a 33-6 win in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
