Middlesboro and Harlan County took much different paths to the championship game of the 50th District Tournament on Tuesday at the James A. Cawood field.

Middlesboro routed Barbourville 10-0 in the opening match. HCHS edged Knox Central 4-3 in a game decided on penalty kicks.

The Bears and Jackets will meet Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the district finals.
