The Harlan County High School marching band competed at the Music in the Castle Marching Band Competition at Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tenn., on Oct. 5. The band received a number of awards in Class A-1, including second place in auxiliary, second place in effect, first place in music, first place in visual and first place overall. The HCHS marching band is under the direction of Jeremy Bell and assistant directors Eric Barnes, Jonathan Hodge and Shawna Hodge.
