Lady Dragons place second in tourney
Harlan placed second in the Cumberland River All A Conference Tournament, falling to Middlesboro 41-26 in the finals.
Ella Karst led the Lady Dragons with 12 points.
Harlan rolled to a 37-26 win over Barbourville in the semifinals as Karst scored 15 points and Aymanni Wynn added 10 to lead the Lady Dragons, who earned a bye in the first round of the tournament as the No. 1 seed.
The Lady Dragons finished the season with a record of 12-8.

Redskins fall to Leslie in season finale
Cumberland closed its regular season schedule Thursday with a 42-22 loss to visiting Leslie County.
Jonah Mumford ran 25 yards for the first Cumberland touchdown. Shawn Carroll added a two-point conversion.
Carroll teamed with Mumford for a 42-yard touchdown pass with 17 seconds left in the first half. Ashton Adams was stopped short on the two-point conversion attempt.
Cameron Anderson ran 26 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, then added the two-point conversion.
The 3-9 Redskins play host to Letcher Central on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Southeastern Football Conference playoffs. The winner will play New Harlan on Oct. 26 at Coal Miners Memorial Stadium. In the fifth- and sixth-grade division, Cumberland plays host to New Harlan at noon and Evarts is home against Letcher Central at 6 p.m. The two winners meet on Oct. 26.
