Trojans triumph over visiting Devils

James A. Cawood pulled away in the second half for a 42-30 win Thursday over visiting Wallins.

Jaycee Carter scored 10 points and James McMillian added nine for the Trojans.

Trenton Cole and Ethan Simpson led Wallins with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Landon Brock scored 18 while Kaden Jones tossed in 12 and Brayden Clay added 10 as JACES won 49-20 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Tanner Daniels led the Devils with six points.

Samuel Henson scored 15 points and Brody Napier added 11 as Rosspoint claimed a 49-36 win Thursday at Evarts in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Ashton Sizemore and Dion Brown led Evarts with 13 points each.

Gunnar Johnson scored 13 as Black Mountain won 40-24 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Hayston Bennett led the Wildcats with eight points.

Clem scores 22 in Cawood victory

Led by 22 points from Hunter Clem, Cawood claimed a 42-35 win Thursday at Black Mountain in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball.

Reggie Cottrell led Black Mountain with 21 points.

Cawood rolled to a 41-19 win in fifth- and sixth-grade action as Ethan Shuler score 14 and Jake Brewer added 10 for the Comets.

Shemar Carr led Black Mountain with 10 points.
