Arrests made following drug trafficking investigation

On Dec. 16, Harlan City Police Department officers made several arrests from a six-month investigation into illegal trafficking of controlled substances. The police department served warrants to the following individuals:
• Robin Middleton was charged with first-degree trafficking controlled substance (methamphetamine);
• Rhonda Dugger was charged with two counts first-degree trafficking controlled substance (methamphetamine);
• Robert Richards was charged with first-degree trafficking controlled substance (methamphetamine) and first-degree trafficking controlled substance (drug unspecified);
• Stephen Fields was charged with second-degree trafficking controlled substance (drug unspecified);
• William Bennett was charged with second-degree trafficking controlled substance (drug unspecified).
HPD continues to investigate the illegal sell of controlled substances and more arrests are pending.
