Harlan County has a new option for folks looking to grow vegetables, flowers, and other such things with Grow in Grace, a greenhouse located on KY 2425, open for business.
The Harlan County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new addition to the business community with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, April 30.
Owner Tammy Boggs shed some light on the greenhouse-based operation.
“I’ve got vegetables, any type of flowers, hanging baskets, and if you need anything extra I can get it,” Boggs said. “I’m going to be getting herbs in too, because everybody is asking for herbs.”
According to Boggs, basil and spearmint will be stocked along with other popular herbs.
Grow in Grace has come together relatively quickly.
“We started building it in December,” Boggs said. “We finished it last month. We opened for business about three weeks ago.”
Boggs mentioned Grow in Grace also features tomato plants, cabbage, zucchini, squash, bell peppers, banana peppers, and much more.”
Rose bushes, hydrangeas, and other flowers are also available.
Boggs talked about how the idea for Grow in Grace came to be.
“My dad is always gardening, and that’s what I like to do too,” Boggs said. “I’ve always loved doing this.”
Boggs mentioned she has bigger plans for Grow in Grace in the future.
“I really want to expand,” Boggs said.
Boggs noted her family is a large part of Grow in Grace.
“My family has helped me build all this,” Boggs said. “I couldn’t have done it if they didn’t help.’
