Harlan girls win 4 of 5 at Berea Summer Shootout

Harlan closed its summer schedule with a strong showing at the Berea Summer Shootout, winning four of five scrimmages.
The Lady Dragons won all three scrimmages Friday, beginning with a 33-27 victory over Model. Natalee King scored nine points to lead Harlan. Angel Wynn added eight. Ella Karst and Kaylee Leslie scored six each. Alli Thompson added four.
King scored eight, while Leslie, Wynn and Karst added seven each in a 31-25 victory over Estill County. Thompson chipped in with two points.
King poured in 15 and Thompson added 10 as the Lady Dragons downed Nelson County 48-40. Wynn scored seven. Leslie tossed in four. Karst scored three. Peighton Jones chipped in with two.
Harlan ended the summer with a 7-6 varsity record.
