Heritage Baptist Church in Lexington organized a school supply drive for Harlan County miners impacted by Blackjewel’s filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. A number of volunteers came to Harlan on Sunday to deliver the school supplies at Harlan County High School. With the help of multiple volunteers, students and miners, all of the supplies were unloaded from the bus by passing boxes from person to person into the school.
