Harlan senior Madelyn Haynes went to the net to finish off a point in the Lady Dragons’ four-set win Monday at Bell County. The Lady Dragons clinched the top seed in next month’s 52nd District Tournament with the victory.
Harlan clinched the top seed in next month’s 52nd District Tournament with a 25-14, 26-24, 19-25, 25-21 win Monday at Bell County.
The Lady Dragons, winners of four straight district titles, improved to 8-6 overall and 5-0 in district action with a home game against Middlesboro set for Thursday to conclude the district schedule.

The Lady Dragons completed a perfect mark in district competition Thursday by rolling past visiting Middlesboro 25-11, 25-14, 25-19 on Senior Night.
Haven Saylor led the 9-6 Lady Dragons with 19 digs, one ace, four assists and one kill. Natalee King contributed seven aces, seven digs, eight kills and one block. Lauren Nunez added six digs and three aces. Emma Fisher had nine digs and one ace. Madelyn Haynes added three aces, four kills and one block. Hannah Jones had three digs, eight kills, two blocks and one ace. Ashton West added one dig.
Harlan returns to action Monday at home against Thomas Walker, Va.
