Karst leads Lady Dragons to win

Ella Karst scored 19 points and Aymanni Wynn added 10 as Harlan claimed a 39-18 win on Thursday at Williamsburg in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Harlan won 28-11 in fifth- and sixth-grade action as Raegan Goodman scored 11 to lead the Lady Dragons.

Harlan splits two games in tourney

Harlan fell in the semifinals of the fifth- and sixth-grade Cumberland River All A Conference Tournament at Middlesboro.

Shelby Doan scored eight points and Raegan Goodman added six as Harlan defeated Barbourville 24-10 in the quarterfinals.

The Lady Dragons fell 27-8 to Pineville in the semifinals. Peyshaunce Wynn scored six for the Lady Dragons, who finished the season with a record of 7-10.

Harlan will participate in the seventh- and eighth-grade conference tournament starting Tuesday.

Balanced attack carries JACES to win

Three Trojanettes were in double figures as James A. Cawood won 46-25 on Thursday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Kylie Jones led the Trojanettes with 18 points. Abbi Fields and Leah Davis chipped in with 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Jenna Wilson led Rosspoint with 17 points.

Lindsey Skidmore poured in 20 as Rosspoint won 36-9 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Lauren Lewis and Shasta Brackett each scored six as Rosspoint won 14-2 in a fourth-grade game.

Lady Skins triumph over Green Hills

A balanced scoring attack led the Cumberland Lady Skins to a 24-3 victory over visiting Green Hills in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Tuesday.

Lesleigh Brown paced Cumberland with six points. Green Hills was led by Alishia Middleton with two.

The Lady Skins will travel to Rosspoint on Thursday.
