Green Dragons drop two of three games at Pulaski Invitational

Led by 17 points from freshman guard Jaxson Perry and 15 from junior guard Dylan Cox, Harlan opened play in the Pulaski Invitational on Friday with a 59-41 win over Spring Hill, Tenn.
Perry hit two 3s and scored nine points in the first quarter as the Dragons raced to a 14-7 lead, Spring Hill cut the deficit to six by halftime before Harlan took off again in the third period, scoring 25 points, led by three 3s and 13 points from Cox.
The 2-6 Dragons will return to action Saturday at 1:30 against defending 12th Region champ Pulaski County.

Harlan fell to 1-1 in the Pulaski Invitational by falling to tournament host Pulaski County 83-45 on Saturday.
The defending 12th Region champion Maroons placed four in double figures, led by Gavin Cook with 18 points and Zak Anderson with 13. Carson Fraley and Kam Measel added 10 each.
The 2-7 Dragons were led by freshman guard Izack Saylor with 13 points.
Harlan concludes tournament play Sunday at 2 against Henry Clay.

Harlan suffered its second straight loss at the Pulaski Invitational, finishing 1-2 in tournament play with an 88-30 loss Sunday to Henry Clay.
Jackson Stephan scored 23 points and Kayson Brown added 19 to lead the 7-1 Blue Devils.
The 2-8 Dragons were led by freshman guard Izack Saylor with 13 points.
Harlan will play tournament host East Jessamine at 6:15 p.m. on Friday in the State Farm Holiday Basketball Tournament,
