Rosspoint Elementary recently won top honors in the middle grades quick recall challenge for 2018 in the Harlan County Academic League. Evarts was second following a tie breaker battle with Wallins, which finished third. Members of the Rosspoint team coached by Kennedy Thompson are Victoria Adams, Chloe Shelton, Chris Taylor, Landon McCreary, Brayden Howard, Isaac Kelly, Marissa Hatfield, Caleb Rose and Bryan Howard.
