Home Federal Bank welcomes Henson as vice president, Harlan market manager

Home Federal Bank has announced and welcomed Garry L. Henson Jr. as the bank’s vice president and Harlan market manager.

In his new position, Henson will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both the downtown and Village Center offices and leading bank team members to develop and grow banking relationships in the Harlan community.

The son of Garry and Brenda Henson, he is a native and lifelong resident of Harlan County.

He and his wife, Donnece, are the parents of three children: Garry L. Henson III, Samuel A. Henson and Hannah Jo Henson.

A graduate of James A. Cawood High School, Henson earned his B.S. in business administration from the University of Kentucky and is also a graduate of the Kentucky Bankers Association School of Banking, and the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking. His 26 year banking career includes all levels of branch operations, branch management and his lending experience encompasses a broad spectrum of consumer, residential, and commercial lending.

A Customer Appreciation Day and Welcome to Home Federal Bank for Henson are planned for Thursday, Nov. 29,​ at both the downtown and Village Center offices.
