The Red Bird Dental Clinic has increased their revenue for dental care through a $50,000 donation from Delta Dental of Kentucky.

The clinic is a non-profit facility at the Red Bird Mission near Beverly, in Harlan County, that provides dental care for low-income, underinsured or uninsured citizens of southeastern Kentucky.

Last weekend, members of the Delta Dental leadership team traveled to the mission with gifts for the community that included hygiene, clothing, and toys for the holiday season.

“The Delta Dental volunteers were instrumental in the distribution of Christmas gifts to families because of our small staff numbers and the immense task ahead of us that day,” said Tracy Nolan, director of Community Outreach for Red Bird Mission. “The donations of toys, hygiene supplies, clothes, and much more from the Delta Dental employees were critical to help meet their needs.”
