Kentucky State Police say the man who was the subject of a three-day manhunt in Leslie County is now charged with three counts of murder.

Paul Douglas Sizemore, 52, has been charged with the murders of Larry Bowling, 64, his wife Norma Bowling, 61 and their son Chad Bowling, 38. The husband and wife were found dead inside their home in the Cutshin community south of Hyden. Their son was found dead outside a neighboring residence.

Kentucky State Police arrested Sizemore at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday after finding him walking on Ky. 699. Sizemore didn’t resist arrest and was unarmed. He was taken to a nearby hospital after being exposed to cold weather for a prolonged period of time.

Sizemore is also facing charges for allegedly ramming into a police cruiser and attempted murder of a police officer after allegedly firing at a state trooper who was headed to the scene of the murders.

U.S. Marshals had a warrant for Sizemore’s arrest because of a parole violation. Sizemore is a convicted murderer who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for a 1987 Leslie County murder before being released in 2002. He was also sentenced on federal firearms charges and was released in 2016.

In 2004 Sizemore was convicted of felony possession of handgun, receiving stolen property over $300 and fleeing and evading police. He was sentenced to seven years and supervised release.
